Education Abroad Latin America has teamed up with Citizens High School (CHS), the second-oldest accredited virtual high school in the U.S., based in Jacksonville, Florida. This alliance lets Latin American students enroll in CHS’s Dual Diploma Initiative, earning an American diploma that streamlines admission and credit recognition at U.S. universities.

Citizens High School holds prestigious American accreditations—including ACCET and CEA—that guarantee rigorous academic standards and high-quality distance education.

By choosing the Dual Diploma, you can:
International Baccalaureate students need only complete the 4 CHS credits to qualify.


To earn the Dual Diploma, you can supplement your regular home-country studies with additional courses offered by Citizens High School as follows:
Successfully complete 18 synchronous credits at your local high school over the final four years of secondary education.
How many credits is each course worth?
Each course awards between 0.5 and 1 credit.
Successfully complete 4 to 6 mandatory asynchronous credits (approximately six courses) at Citizens High School virtually during your final four years of secondary education.
If you’re enrolled in the International Baccalaureate (IB), you only need to complete 4 credits—about four courses—through Citizens High School.
